I was introduced to cycling at age 10 when Team Ofoto Lombardi Sports visited my middle school in Sherman, CT. Immediately after the presentation, I took my dad's 5 speed and started "training." I entered my first race and got smoked. I raced through the junior categories and was fortunate enough to do a ton of traveling around New England, USA, and Canada. I achieved my category 1 upgrade during my first U23 year and subsequently decided to focus on an education at the University of Connecticut. After receiving a B.S, I spent a few years working as a job coach for adults with special needs. I provided coaching services as a pottery instructor, farm caretaker, and at every major chain store you could think of!
In early 2015, I missed having a competitive outlet and decided to train and race again. In 2016 I raced in Belgium which gave me a truly incredible international experience that turned my training and racing up to 11. Belgium launched me into an incredibly successful 2017, and provided me the opportunity to ride for Cyclus Sports as a professional.
