Born and raised in Atlanta, Georgia I began racing at 18 when my pursuit of soccer began to fissile out and I was looking for another sport to pursue. My father had raced bikes for as long as I can remember, having previously been a highly competitive runner, so the genealogy and environment was there for me to excel in cycling. After a couple outings on the bike, there was no looking back and now seven years on I find myself racing as a profession and loving every minute of it, even the tough times.
Growing up in Atlanta I was fortunate to be enrolled at an international school where I learned French and German. Being trilingual certainly hasn’t hindered me when racing internationally! After graduating from high school, I was accepted at the University of Colorado at Boulder pursuing a degree in integrative physiology. Having lived in Boulder for the past four years, I jumped across the pond this past summer to chase my goals racing in the European peloton.
Returning to the Southeast for the 2018 season racing for Cyclus Sports has ignited a desire to push my limits both on and off the bike. The team we have for 2018 excites me to see where we can take this message while still keeping what’s really important in check.
